MONOCHROME

Making a comeback from the 70's this season it's all about the monochrome.
Putting together outfits in black and white shouldn't be that difficult you say ?!? Well it's not just about a white shirt with black trousers, it's ALL about the pattern !!

This season most fashion designers have developed some form of monochrome outfits into their line. Be it a black on white polkadot dress to an intricate rose print, making your black and white staple pieces work, could never be more fun !!!!

Nail - Tutorial - Line Design

Nails Nails Nails !!!!! My first tutorial !!

What you need : a base color, a top color, line tape, top coat.

 This is what I used :

Because I am painting on gel nails I used a clear base coat to protect the nails. Avon revitacool base coat, as my base color I used Flormar pink blush, as a top color Avon sugarplum, as a top coat NYC classy glassy.

* try using a top color that only requires 1 coat, it will make the process much easier.

Apply your base color (however many coats you need) I used two. Now wait till it is absolutely dry, if it isn't the tape will pull the color off and you can start again 80(

Pre-cut your nail tape strips, for this design I used 6 strips for each nail. They need to be long enough to to cover the nail and leave enough for easy access when removing. Place strips in the design you would like to achieve.

* you can remove the tape if you didn't place it right the first time, make sure you get it the way like it, after this there's no turning back :0)

You need to do this part one nail at a time !! Apply the top color and immediately remove the strips, otherwise your nail polish will start to set and come off in pieces. Repeat for each nail.

Once you are done wait a little for the nail polish to dry before you apply the top coat or it will streak the top color. Once everything has dried ..... your done !! ENJOY !!!!

How high is TOO high ?!?

Love wearing high heels ? Well have you ever thought about the damage it causes your body ?!? Are we captivated by extreme high heels ?!? Is it a case of the higher the better ?!? What do you look for when buying your brand new must haves ?!? Well that's what we're going to look at today !!

There was a report in The Sun a couple of years back that said more than 3M women have been injured by their high heels !! There have been studies that show, that high heels, especially when worn over a long period of time can cause back pain, ankle problems and then there's the good old fallin' on your butt routine we seem to forget about the next time we want to buy our "gorgeous" heels !!

So why do we do it ?!? Well in this survey 60 per cent of women said whatever agony a pair of heels caused, they would keep wearing them if they won compliments.  The poll of 3,000 women aged 18 to 65 also found a whopping 89 per cent said uncomfortable shoes have ruined a night out.

More than a third have had to be helped or even carried home because of pain from shoes that are too tight.

And 61 per cent have spent a whole evening sitting down. Is looking apealing to the opposite sex really this iportant to us ?!?

A Stagering 80 per cent have bought a trendy pair despite knowing they do not fit.

 So TOP TIPS ladies when buying your all time favourite shoes if you don't want to look a fool planted 

firmly on your behind with everyone laughing !!!

• It's sad I have to say this, but choose shoes in YOUR size, no the shoe won't magically stretch to fit your feet and no your feet won't shrink !!!
• Go for shoes with good support for the balls of your feet.
• If going for the high-high-heels, choose heels that are a bit thicker, or go for a wedge, this will have you more stable on your strut through town.
• If you can't walk in the store in them, you probably won't be able to walk in them anywhere else, and ladies it is not attractive when you do the hulla wave in the shopping centre because you can't walk in your shoes !!
• If you know your going to be on your feet all day, go for a lower heel and something you have worn before.

Everyone should have a pair of heels that makes them feel sexy 

.... BUT make sure you can walk in the too !!!!

Tutorial: Lip Art

Here comes a new way to express yourself: Lip Art.

If you like spending time doing your nails or your make up, then you will love this!! Actually it’s quite the same, you just have to be more creative. 
Personally I found it quite interesting, it’s a lot of fun. 

Hmmm I’m curios what body part we will be decorating next !! 

So let’s take a look at what I’ve done:

I hope you liked them! I was so proud of myself when I finished.

First thing you have to do with each design, is you have to use foundation on your lips and around your lips as well. It fixes the make-up, and makes it easier to remove.

If you use eye-shadow (as I have done) then put some transparent lipstick on your lips before you start to put on the base colour of the particular design.

To do these samples I used liqued eyeliner. It’s easy to manage and you can also draw small details.

And that’s it! You’re ready! I told you it was easy.
