Here comes...
the Hardcore!!
Is it Art or a Sickness?!
Body piercing's existence takes us far back in time. Among
several tribal societies in Africa and in New Guinea it’s a tradition to wear
piercings (lip, cheek and through the nose).
Only in the 20th centrury has it become widespread in the West
after the World War II it began to increase.
Nowdays it has become mainstream.
People usually pierce for:
- spiritual reasons,
- self-expression,
- sexual pleasure,
- fitting in the culture
- rebellion.

Some people have extreme body piercings hundreds or even thousands
of them all over the body.
People have started to implant under the skin, fill their bodies completely with tattoos, although used in tribes all over Africa we have been consistently shocked by ear tunnels.
Piercings started off quite innocently with nose, lip, belly button, perhaps an eyebrow ..... but now !!! There are a number of places to be pierced and people seem to be constently coming up with new locations and new trends !!!
